As we launch the season, we're excited to introduce our team! These individuals are crucial to our vision to foster personal growth, build supportive communities, and inspire future leaders through the power of rugby. We are confident that we can take our programs to new heights and make an even greater impact on the lives of our young athletes.
Coaching and Player Development
Caren Araujo: Head Coach
Our boys head coach oversees the long-term development of the men’s team. This role involves designing strategic training programs, executing coaching plans, and constantly evaluating player performance. They also use statistics and metrics to track progress, ensuring that each athlete reaches their full potential.
Carlos Caraza: Girls Head Coach
Similarly, our girls coach is responsible for the long-term planning, execution, and evaluation of the girls team. By setting team goals and analyzing performance through metrics, they guide the team toward success, both on and off the field.
Jose Gabriel Velásquez and Barbara Bolivar: Assistant Coaches
The assistant coaches support the head coaches during training sessions and in planning. Their hands-on role helps to streamline practices and ensures that all players are receiving the attention they need to improve their skills and understanding of the game. Together, they ensure that each player is prepared for the challenges ahead, fostering a spirit of resilience and teamwork.
Here's a look at the key roles and the people working tirelessly behind the scenes.
Barbara Bolivar: Operations Coordinator
The operations coordinator is at the heart of planning and organizing weekly training sessions and monthly “Super Saturday” events. These events are the keys to our program, bringing together the community for rugby, learning, and fun. From scheduling matches to coordinating activities for kids, they make sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
Jorman Méndez: Logistics
Behind every successful event is a logistics team ensuring that everything is in place. They handle organizing food delivery, service, and cleanup for all our participants during events, allowing players and coaches to focus on the events of the day.
Fundraising Manager
Our fundraising manager plays a pivotal role in securing the financial resources needed to sustain our programs. They are responsible for building relationships with donors, creating campaigns, and ensuring that we have the funds necessary to provide equipment, uniforms, and academic support for our players.
Davanit Garcia: Communications & Social Media
Our communications team is responsible for keeping you connected. They create social media content, manage email newsletters, and develop sponsorship presentations. Their work also includes capturing the magic of our program through photos and videos, helping to tell the stories of our players and our impact on the community.
Community Engagement
Local Volunteers
Our volunteers are the heartbeat of our program. From helping at events to assisting with day-to-day tasks, they ensure that everything runs smoothly and that our players have the support they need to succeed.
Moms
We can’t thank the mothers in our community enough. They are often the first to show up and the last to leave, providing support not only to their own children but to the entire rugby school. Whether they’re helping with logistics, cheering from the sidelines, or assisting with events, their contributions are invaluable to our success.
